A family-owned business, Max Kassel started the pharmacy in 1948 with the dream of creating a close-knit store that really cared about the health and well-being of its customers. Back then it was just a small neighborhood pharmacy that provided the necessities needed for everyday life. Deliveries were made by bicycle and people came from miles around, not only to pick up their prescriptions, but to get advice on health and wellness issues. As the neighborhood grew, so did the pharmacy.
In 1970, after graduating from the University of Toronto, Bill Kassel joined his father behind the counter as a pharmacist. As the present owner, he continues to run the pharmacy with the same high-standards in quality and exceptional customer service as his father did.
